Summer Comfort

I had all of these big plans for today’s post, but then I spent my weekend sitting at a lake and hanging out on my couch. I think it’s safe to say that I spent much more of my time getting comfortable rather than getting my work done. I mean really I shouldn’t be surprised. My summer style is all about being comfortable. Being comfortable without a computer? Easy. Being comfortable style-wise? Newly easy. Enter: the head scarf

My hair seems to get in the way more often than not. I mean hair on my neck on a really not day? No thanks. To battle the sweat, I’ve been getting really into the head scarf obsession (aka I looked like this Friday- Sunday).head scarfI’ve always loved this look but I always thought it was more trouble than it’s worth. My messy bun never sat right and my scarf was always sliding back on my head but I think I’ve finally figured out a way that works for me.

I made my bun in a similar way to Keiko’s messy bun and I tie my scarfs just like Zandi. The best tip I can give is to make sure that you keep the scarf loose. (The tighter you tie, the more likely it is to slide back.)

What’s your summer style like?
Are you a head scarf kind of person?
How do you do your messy buns?
(who knew there were so many different ways!)
How was your weekend? More productive than mine?

    • Yes! try tying them loosely. If not you can strategically place some bobby pins right near your ear (2 on each side) to hold it in place.

    • I got it from a local little shop. It’s a silk square. The lady said it’s “vintage italian”…. god only knows! haha

  1. Hahaha I love it when weekend plans get in the way of blogging! It just means you had an amazing weekend! Love you with a scarf in your hair, I wish I could pull that look off!
