Okay. So it’s January 16th and I’ve been to the gym twice in 2013. Twice people! That’s an issue for me.

See, I enjoy my time at the gym and I feel happier when I make the time to go. But for some reason, I just haven’t felt like making the time lately. I’ve decided to buckle up starting today. No more excuses.

Getting back to healthySo if you guys don’t mind, I’m going to be making some room on this little blog to help get myself back into a healthy way of life. Some days wellness posts may be in the form of inspirational quotes or the best running sneakers. Some days maybe I’ll get crazy and post some tricep exercises. (Seriously, let’s talk about how awkward some of those exercises are.)  The options are endless!

What did you say? You want to join in? Awesome! People say that staying on track is all about motivation and support right? Feel free to leave comments, links and pictures on the posts and let’s talk to each other as we get healthy. See how that works? I’ll post some motivation and we all act as the support!

And just to make this better, Dean is a huge gym lover, a healthy eater and just so happens to be studying for his personal training certification. I’ll be using him sometimes to post cool things that he’s learning.  I have some visions of healthy recipes, workout ideas, and motivational quotes to get us going. (Does beach weather mean anything to you guys?)

I’m a big believer in little goals leading the way.
My goal is to hit the gym at least twice more this week.

  1. I’m with yah girl! I’ve been trying to eat somewhat better since my schedule is crazy and I haven’t been able to get to the gym a lot. It’s been rough!

    • Nic-we seriously may have to make some girl dates doing more active things. I’ll hunt for some local activities!

  2. Good luck! I definitely know about making excuses and trying to talk yourself out of working out… I try to remember how good I feel after a long run and it usually is enough motivation to get me moving. 🙂

  3. Twice a week is definitely something I strive for too! Especially with the ladies of my Let’s Get Physical monthly link up, I do so much better with encouragement and constant reminder so I’m excited to read more about your fitness journey!!

    • I used to go so much more but I’ve been out of the game for too long to expect to jump in with a million gym days. Two will suit me just fine for a bit! 🙂

  4. i may not know anything about exercise or eating healthy (haha), but i am all about wellness! i’m hoping your posts will inspire me to set aside some $$$ for running shoes or even to cook a nutritious meal for myself.
