DIY Lavender Body Scrub

DIY lavender scrub

I always hear about people making their own body scrubs and instantly feel jealous. They’re expensive to buy and it just sounds pretty cool to be able to make your own, doesn’t it? Well I finally caved and gave it a try- I seriously had no idea it could be this easy! All you need is a hydrating oil base, something gritty to exfoliate and an awesome scent.

The lavender is perfect for a relaxing shower. I had a particularly bad homework session this week and after a nice warm shower with this scrub I felt content and sleepy after. Gotta love that lavender essential oil!

I’ve also been playing around with a few new scents such as a citrus scrub for the morning and a coffee scrub for some winter warmth so I’m sure you’ll be seeing a few more variations of this soon.

Do you make your own bath products? What kind of scents would you like to see?

    • it’s funny because growing up my mom used to have a lot of lavender scented things and I hate them. Now I really love it!

  1. I’ve had a coffee scrub on my DIY To Do list for forever… If you try it, I’d love to see how it comes out! Seems like such a functional use for all those coffee grounds.

    • I definitely will! Brian in my office makes his own soap and he recently told me about his love for the coffee one he made. It must be a Scranton thing.
