Sunglasses: Who knew?!

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Firmoo but all reviews and opinions are my own.

I started wearing glasses at 5 years old. I’ve been wearing them for so long now, that not wearing glasses seems weird to me.  I hardly ever wear my contacts because I always feel like I have to take the time to put on makeup and put myself together when I do. Something about taking off my every-day glasses makes me feel like it’s time to dress up.

Typically I don’t mind that I’m a glasses-person, but living in sunny Florida does make things a little more difficult for my eyes. This is why I was so excited to get an email from Firmoo asking if I wanted to try out a pair of their prescription sunglasses.

I’m not going to lie, these sunglasses wouldn’t be my typical choice. The rounded edges are a lot softer than I usually gravitate to, but they ended up being really fun! I’m glad Firmoo allowed me to give them a try. Plus, they’re a seriously life saver with this harsh tropical sun!

Want to step out of your own comfort zone as well? Well you’re in luck! New customers can get a pair of prescription glasses (sunnies included!) for FREE! Seriously.  Enjoy!

Backward, Forward, Present

Tedx Scranton

Backward: Last weekend I had my cousin’s bridal shower on Long Island and I also went to my first TEDx event! TEDx events are similar to the TED Talks you’ve probably heard of, but they’re all individually and locally organized with approval from TED. Scranton hosted our first-ever TED (how many times can I write TED in one paragraph?) event at a local campus, and it was such a wonderful and inspiring event. I’m looking forward to keeping my eyes peeled for more opportunities like this one. Has anyone else ever gone?

Forward: Tomorrow I’m heading out to the Philadelphia area to join in on some wedding festivities for my friends Danielle and Jon. I’m excited to see great friends, indulge in amazing food and drinks, to get down on the dance floor, and to wear one of my newly purchased “shopping ban” dress & shoe combo.  I can’t wait!

Present: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LIANA! <3

Easy Easter Sweets Roundup

I cannot believe Easter is this weekend! Dean and I area actually heading on a little holiday getaway, so you may not be hearing too much from me for the rest of the week. While I’m super excited to go, I don’t want to leave you without my typical last minute holiday roundup. Since I’m a baker that happens to also be a procrastinator, I know I’m always hunting these kinds of lists down last minute. Hopefully this will help you pull together some kind of cute treat for your family this Sunday!

The Tonight Show

Have you been watching Jimmy Fallon take over The Tonight Show this week? I’m a big baby so I aim to be in bed by the time Jimmy comes on the air, but I’ve been keeping up with little clips online the next day. (one of my favorites so far? When Jimmy interviewed “Harry Styles”) I’ve noticed that people tend to have really strong feelings about Jimmy- they either reallyyyyy like him or not even a little bit. I think he’s hilarious! What about you?

Have a great weekend!
