Friday Friends: Bahar’s links of the week!

So Bahar has been posting awesome links this week on facebook. She doesn’t know, but I’ve stolen them for your enjoyment. Thanks Bee!

Netflix and some Friday links

tvOk, I’m not going to lie here. I stayed up all night up watching the first season of American Horror Story. This show is RIDICULOUS! I watched season two last year while it was airing and I loved it. Now without cable I’ve been searching Netflix for a new show to get excited about and season one was the winner. The only downside here is that I can’t turn it off. One episode just leads right into the next one, and the next one, and probably the next one, too.

This isn’t the first time this has happened to me lately. Between Netflix and various seasons of TV shows that Dean and I own, I’ve watched multiple season (if not all of the seasons) of: Seinfeld, Weeds, United States of Tara, Wings, Hey Arnold, Scandal, Arrested Development, Saved by the Bell, Rescue Me, and I’ve already pinned Breaking Bad as the one to start this weekend.. see the issue here?

Make me feel better- What shows have taken over your life?

Anyway, a few links I’ve saved for you:

If Disney princesses had instagram.

A real post on the hardships of breaking up in a digital age.

Apparently I need this print in front of my TV.

How was the blackout 10 years ago already?

Roo’s diet bet.

Cute little handmade cards from my friend Mirelis.

Happy Friday!
Any fun weekend plans?

Link Love

Little known fact about me- I collect mugs. This is my new favorite and she now sits with me at work every morning. This picture is deceiving for two reasons:

1- I took a selfie so she’s backwards (thanks iPhone)
2- I’m drinking tea and I hardly ever drink tea.

I’m a coffee girl, but it’s been that kind of week. I like my coffee best with a book/blogs/fun articles and a decent amout of half & half (hold the sugar). Here are some of my favorite reads from this week.

How to Love Your Work

A phone charging purse? Yes please!

Matt Harvey asks NYers about …Matt Harvey– this seriously made my day

Cried at my work desk over the beauty of this one.

Buzzfeed always seems to get it.

Does anyone else suddenly want to go to a market?

I took off work today so if you’re feeling good maybe you can give me a few extra reads for fun!
Spoiler alert- I’ll be reading them with a different mug filled with real coffee.

Snapshots and Links

I can’t even believe I made it through the week. Does anyone else feel like the week flew by but each individual day was just treacherous? Yeah…there should be a support group for that or something.

Anyway, here are some fun little pictures that I’ve snapped over the last few days. I also have a few links I’ve been lovin’ this week. It’s fun to share good things, right?

I recently did a little peach picking with Dean’s family. And by peach picking I mean we went to go cherry picking and there were no cherries left- so the boys may have picked some of these “accidentally” instead. They were delicious!

derek jeterDerek Jeter played a few rehab games with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. You can’t beat $15 seats right on the 3rd base line. I seriously think I had the best view of his butt in the whole house!

I ordered an Umba box recently and it was everything I hoped for and more. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement with Umba over the summer…

  • One of the best things I’ve read this week. It makes you think about the women you really value and look up to.
  • Sales galore over at Standford Row. If you’ve been looking for some custom made clothing, this is your time!
  • What! All of my favorite things in one snack!
  • I think I want a million of these paper flowers just littered all over my house.
  • I had this again last night for dinner again and it was delicious.. definitely worth all of the calories I put back into my body after my run.
  • I know there has been quite a bit of controversy over this song… and Robin Thicke said a few really dumb things, but that hasn’t stopped me from listening to this on repeat lately.

What have you guys been up to lately?
What are your weekend plans!
